Diablo 4 preloading for the early access beta has started-

Preloading for Diablo 4‘s early access beta has begun and yeah this month is going to be a mouthful of Diablo beta dates and times. This weekend’s beta, which begins on Friday, March 17, is for folks who’ve preordered any edition of Diablo 4.

As of today, March 15, you should have the ability to begin downloading the beta in your Battlenet app on PC. So if you’ve already got your ticket to hell it’s time to hurry up and wait on that download.

In the sidebar of your launcher, make sure to change your game version to “Diablo IV – beta” so you have the option to install. It’s a slightly chunky installation. The main download is about 80GB, though you can cut that in half to just 40GB if you choose not to install the high resolution texture pack.

New World is switching to a seasonal model and, yep, that means a season pass-

Amazon’s New World MMO is moving to a seasonal format on March 28, which the studio says will deliver “more frequent content like new features [and] gameplay experiences,” and—of course—a season pass with separate free and premium reward tracks.

New World’s season pass looks fairly conventional as these things go. As players progress in the game they’ll earn seasonal XP through various activities that will advance them through 100 levels, unlocking rewards along the way. Season XP can be earned through quests, faction missions, town projects, expedition bosses, and other in-game activities.

Sony hopes PC gamers, who’ll wait years for Epic exclusives to come to Steam out of spite, will buy PS5s for exclusive sequels-

Sony’s policy toward PC has shifted noticeably over the last few years. The publisher has gradually been bringing more of its exclusive titles to PC, and more recently, launching games like Helldivers 2 concurrency on PC and PS5. Now, the company’s soon-to-be co-CEO Hermen Hulst has outlined the whys and wherefores of its current strategy, and how we can expect them to approach releases in the future.

Speaking at this year’s Sony Business Briefing, Hulst explained that Sony has a “dual approach” to game releases. “On the live-service side, we’re releasing our titles simultaneously, so day-and-date on PS5 and PC,” he explained.
